I love that you mentioned fortitude at the end. In A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, the grandma say that’s it’s important to encourage a child’s imagination to grow for, "when the world becomes too ugly for living in, the child can reach back and live in her imagination." What better way than to fill their imaginations with goodness, truth and beauty. Being able to stand firm in adversity, and find beauty in the hard places —that is fortitude.
